Idaho Roof Snow Removal Could Have Prevented Disaster
We saw first hand, the devastation that heavy snow did to Idaho and Oregon in 2016-17. During our Boise Idaho ice dam removal journey we saw many roof collapses. And then we traveled to Bend Oregon to steam more ice dams. We then traveled back to Boise in the spring. Because the ice dams were all melted in Bend. There we picked up this local newspaper at a gas station near Boise. And the article describes the devastation from the heavy snow.
The winter of 2016/2017 was one of the worst on record for Idaho. The Malheur Enterprise paper for Malheur County Oregon (near Nampa and Boise ID) published an article Feb 8, 2017. The article is about the $100 MILLION MESS The mess covered Malheur County Oregon, Nampa in Canyon County and Boise in Ada County Idaho. The article states that the disaster in the onion business was similar to Hurricane Katrina. And in-fact the whole first page was all about roofs collapsing on different buildings! Huge pole buildings collapsed everywhere!
